At the end of September we met my parents in England for a Narrowboat trip on the canals
Here are some highlights of our trip

We met in London and checked into our cute little hotel in Cartwright Gardens, the Harlingford Hotel. Our room has the windows by HARLING (with Mackenzie) and my parents were down the hall by the HOTEL part. After checking in we ate lunch then went on one of those hop on and off bus tours of the city.
Mackenzie really wanted to sit on the top of the double decker bus, even though it had been sprinkling on and off and was still quite wet. She talked Grampa into going up top with her, then spent the rest of the time tormenting him.

Since we were only going to be in London for a day and 1/2 we did the whirlwind tour and saw all the major tourist spots. Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, the Parliment Building, Hyde Park, Soho, 10 Downing Street...
Big Ben from afar and upclose.

This is Westminister Abby which has been the setting for every Monarch's coronation and houses the graves of Chaucer and Elizabeth I, among others and is where Princess Diana's funeral was held.
This is the famous Tower Bridge. It is really cool.

We also made sure to play in the cool telephone booths.
The doors are a little heavy, so we had to help Mackenzie out.

Oh, And we got in to see Buckingham Palace.
The Palace is only open when the Queen is in Balmoral, Scotland on Holiday (every year from the first week in Aug to the first week in Oct).
Of course, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside so this is all you get.
