The execution range area with a blood ditch. The brick wall was covered with shrubs, but was about 6 feet behind the blood ditch.

Prisoners wore colored triangles to show why they were imprisoned. Green were German criminals, red for Communists, Social Democrats, anarchists and other 'enemies of the state'; blue for foreign forced laborers, brown for gypsies, pink for homosexuals, purple for Jehovah's Witnesses and black was for antisocials.

Sculpture done by Yugoslavian artist Nandor Glid who won a competition for the best design.
The wall with "Never Again" in five languages at the front memorial section of the camp.

"May the example of those who were exterminated here between 1933 and 1945 because they resisted Nazism help to unite the living for the defense of peace and freedom and in respect for their fellow man."
