Usually in a debate there are two parties: a questioner and an answerer. The answering party is sitting down and the questioner is standing up. When the questioner asks questions and starts to debate he uses different gestures. Every time he makes a point he will draw his right hand far back behind the head and clap it strongly on his left hand, which is held out in front of him; the rosary is usually dangling from the left arm. During a debate you get quite a lot of clapping and as the debate progresses people get more and more excited and involved.
