This is the view of the little town of Lewiston as we drive down the mountain of Bunloit. Gramma mailing postcards from the cute little post office/general store in Drumnadrochit.

Gramma and Grampa at Urquhart (urkhurt) Castle which sits on the bank of Loch Ness. Mackenzie, Grampa and Andrea in front of the castle. Notice the snow on the mountains behind all of us!
This is the view as we were walking down the pathway to the castle. Urquhart Castle was once one of the strongest castles in Scotland, over the centuries it has withstood the attack of many enemies. Some evidence has been found of a fort on this promontory dating from the Iron Age, and also remains from Pictish times, earliest written records for the existence of a castle date from the 1200's.

View through one of the castle windows across the Loch.

Grampa, Mackenzie and Andrea climbing the narrow spiral steps to the top of the ruins of the Grant Tower.
